The goal of this experiment is to make money by pooling the knowledge and resources from the ranks of America’s currently huge unemployed class. I believe that among this group there are many dreamers and schemers who have the potential to make this exercise very successful.
Each of the fifteen spots will be selected, based on that individual's submitted strategy to turn one sum of money, into a sum greater by approximately seventy-five percent. For example, if you choose the Meerkat Project from the below list, you will submit a plan that will take $5000 and turn it into $9000. If you choose the Moose Project, you will submit a plan to turn $50,000 into $88,000. Submissions will be judged based on viability, detail and overall need. You may pick as many of the projects as you like, and make a plan for that sum, but you must submit only one proposal per email. Project proposals can be anything that is legal, and any reasonable submission will be considered.
Do you know of an item that can be sold for these margins, or know of something that can be bought and improved with you skills, to create such a profit?
Possibly, you believe yourself capable of planning a concert or event that would yield the required proceeds?
We will start with my original $1000, and your plans to increase it. Imagine an assembly line, but instead of making cars, we will produce dreams.
I believe that in Corporate America’s race to outsource and cut jobs, they have forgotten that which has made us strong…our ingenuity! I am convinced that among the millions of currently unemployed and unconnected, there exist many people that have the drive and skill to make each of these projects successful. The task of turning $1000 into $2.5 Million may seem daunting. However, like any good plan, if each proposal deals effectively with its much smaller solution, the end result will be just that dramatic.
For each chosen submission that is successful, its creator will be given the sum of $100,000 when the entire experiment is complete and all goals achieved (You will be responsible for your own taxes).
As the projects founder and administrator, I will keep $250,000 (I will also retain exclusively, all story rights for the experiment).
The project’s sponsor, which is willing to pay the estimated $75,000 in travel expenses, will be returned their sum in full.
The remaining $700,000 will be used to start a business venture to be directed by myself and a board of directors comprised entirely of the best in our group of creators. Stock in the venture, as well as all future profits, will be shared equally among all of the original plan designers.
